Can a Non-Citizen Travel Abroad and Return?

Can a non-citizen in America, with a DACA permit, social security number, and a valid US driver license travel to another country and return just fine?

For example, I'm a citizen and could apply for a US Passport if I wish to travel to another country and return. And apparently I could use my driver license (if not more) to travel within the US itself.

But what can a non-citizen do?
