Abandonment of LPR Status Inquiry

Hi,

I'm living in Canada and filed my I-407 form on December 30th, 2020. It was received and process by the IRS in January 2021. For tax purposes, I would only be considered an LPR for the 2020 year correct? In other words, it's the filing date that counts, not the receiving/processing date?
