Employment Gap Period (OPT TO GC through Marriage)

Hi all,

I'm just seeking for some advice/stories to ease my mind and so I can start planning ahead.

I received my submission receipt for my I-485 2 weeks ago after filing jointly for AOS with my wife who is a USC.

I already have an EAD through my OPT which starts on May 8th. From your experience, should I be expecting a gap in employment eligibility or will I get my 2nd EAD before May 7th, 2021? I heard many rumors about EADs taking as long as the whole package so I am not sure what to expect.
