I got laid off recently and I’m on my 7th year on H1b. The pandemic caused my company to downsize. I can’t go back to my home country right now because travel is suspended.
Visa is valid till 2023. If I fill out an I-539 to convert to B1 status, will I need to be cap-subject if I get sponsored again for H1b later? Is B1 to H1b status a good plan?
