[USA] A friend of mine smokes weed and needs to renew his immigrant visa in the near future. He wants to know if they check for weed, and if they do, is it grounds for renewal rejection?
I believe they take blood and urine samples for the medical examination. It’s used for certain health checks but it could also be used to check for drug use i.e. weed. He wants to know if they would check for weed. If they do check for weed, would they reject his renewal since weed is illegal at the federal level?
