I have a pending spousal Visa at the NVC phase for over three months now. USCIS and the embassy both told me they have no timeframe for our embassy interview. I emailed my US Senator's office and received a reply tonight that they also do not have a timeframe, cannot find out a timeframe, nor do I have a USCIS qualified emergency to expedite my case. USCIS is currently saying that average processing time for a spousal Visa in the Texas service center is 8-10.5 months. Tonight, I called RapidVisa, the firm that is helping me and asked is this a true timeframe or are they going way over? She replied they are going way over. Why would USCIS publish bogus timeframes? The embassies know what their workload is - they just don't want it getting out how behind they are. This leaves families unable to make any future plans at all. Is my case going to be completed by July or August or, next year? Most of these embassies should be mostly operational except for maybe India and Brazil where there are terrible COVID cases. I think they are using COVID as an excuse now.
