Re-entry process with an expired green card? (US)

Hi all, I was hoping for some advice re: my family situation with immigration, getting my grandmother back to the US.

A few years back my grandparents were approved for a visa, and they both came over at the same time. Unfortunately, my grandfather passed away while he was here, so my grandmother went back to India with my mother and brother (who are both citizens, no issue there). My grandmother had a green card at the time as well as a passport. The thing is, after she went back she became quite ill, and so we decided it was best for her to stay there and get medical attention as it would have been dangerous to have her fly back in that condition.

However, recently my mother has been interested in getting her back to the US, but her green card expired at the end of 2019. I know that due to covid it would not be safe to bring her back here again yet, but we'd like her to stay with us, and she very much wants to be back here as well.

I'm wondering if I have any avenues to get her back now that her green card is expired. Would we have to reapply for her, or is there a process for getting her back more quickly? She was approved the first time so I am unsure if that means there is a way to expedite the process.

So, my questions are:

- Is there a way to renew the green card/apply for a way to get her back faster?

- Would it be worth it to hire an immigration attorney/get a consultation to explore options?

- Are there places that provide free consultations just to figure out how to get started?

I don't mind filling out the paperwork myself (if it is possible) and paying any fees to expedite the process, we just really want her back so we can spend time together, and I think she would do much better here with our family. I just don't know where to begin.

Any information you all could provide would be amazing! Thank you all so much and I hope you all have a good new year!

NVC Case FE Review note

Hi everyone, my family and I are under the F3 category and we just received a notice from NVC that our documents have been approved and that we are Documentarily Qualified. My only concern is this message that we received today in addition to the acceptance: " [Name of petitioner] does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants for this case. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p . To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 for a joint sponsor may be submitted." We already have a petitioner and a household sponsor (the household sponsor's income is above the required level), but still unsure why we received this. Has anyone else received this message? All of our documents say "Approved" on NVC. Does this mean we have to find another sponsor? Can we show the consular officer our
