Query reg Visa stamping

Hi.

My question is regarding H1 visa stamping process.I have recently gone through change of status ( from F1 to H1B) but the Visa stamping on my passport is pending as I have to be out of the country for that. Also, the process requires consular interview too.

Now, my question is if I could go to Canada for my first H1 visa stamping? If yes, could anyone guide me how to go about it? Any doc/ article/ information will be appreciated. Thanks
