Uncle travels back and forth with green card. Officer gave him a warning that a green card is not for tourism. He is planning to travel to the U.S. in a week. How can he prepare?
My uncle has had a green card for two years that he received through his wife who lives in the U.S. He travels to the U.S. about twice a year, every 6 months, to come see his wife. He is planning to move his life to the U.S. within a few years and retire here with his wife. He is a well-known doctor in Egypt and he hasn't been able close everything down just yet. Last time he arrived in the U.S., the officer gave him a warning that a green card is not for tourism. His plans were to stay in the U.S. for two weeks and leave, which he did because he has a clinic that he operates in Egypt. He is planning to travel to the U.S. in about a week, 12/03. Will the officers take away his green card when he arrives? How should he prepare when he arrives?
