I figured I would start a post about my experience with this process.
I am a us native asking for a green card through marriage for my native wife. We have been married for almost 3 years. We were leaving in Mexico that whole time and now decided to start her paperwork. After investigation we realized that I needed to move back to start it. I have been in the states now for a few months. Finally, stable enough to send the cash, due to un foreseen problems. My wife as no issues with the immigration and held a Tourist visa (expired in oct. 2021).Her record and mine are clean. I made enough money to be able to request her last year. Also, we are seeing if they will accept a renewed tourist visa, she will have the interview in June. We realize that there is a good possibility that it will be rejected but we figured it was worth the try. I miss her dearly and plan on visiting her in December. We doing this ourselves and not going through a lawyer or paralegal. As always any advice or words of wisdom is appreciated. I hate that in order to to do everything legally it is such a lengthy process and the fact it is so hard to be together during it. I hope for a speedy process hopefully faster that the 13 month average.
