My wife traveling with me to the US on an ESTA.. shall we approach customs together or separately after landing in the states
My wife is a British national & I’m American, me and her are legally married in the UK and have official marriage certificates to show if need be.
With being long distance, we decided to finally spend some quality time and go on a holiday together in Thailand, then come back to the states for about a week so she can visit my elderly parents. After that she’ll be returning to the UK, and I’ll be remaining in the states due to our professions.
Question is, we’ve never entered the US before as a legally married couple (wed a few months ago in UK) so I was curious should we jump in the same line together when we arrive at US customs? Or would they give her a hard time? I’m worried customs will assume she plans on staying and residing in the US because she’s my wife
