I’m on an overstay but married and haven’t filed yet. Can my mom Visit me? She has a tourist visa.

I came on an F1 Visa and got married during college. I’m currently on overstay but going to file for a change of status soon.

My mom has a valid tourist visa she acquired while I was in school. She’s worried about what to say the intent of her visit is while coming in.

Will this be an issue? I don’t see a reason it would be since I’m legally married and a lawyer said the overstay would be forgiven once I file.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
