Hi all, I am a U.S citizen and I have 2 brothers who were born and raised in Central America. My oldest brother is 26 and we talk mostly every day or once a month through Facebook or WhatsApp. I’ve never met my brothers in person since I have never traveled to Central America but I have been aware of their existence since I was a child. Recently I haven’t heard of my brother and he hasn’t answered my messages so I contacted my aunt who has been his caretaker since he was a child to ask her if he’s okay, she let me know that he decided to come to the U.S. illegally….. and was in Houston waiting to pass immigration? I have no clue what that even means. Now they’re telling me that they haven’t been able to contact him for 24 hours so they believe he’s in immigration custody? I’ve never dealt with anything like this or anything similar. I don’t know how to help them. How can I even locate him or know in which detention center he’s in? I feel like everyone is depending on me to know the answers since they’re worried about him but I honestly don’t know.
I also don’t live in Texas, never been to Texas. I live in AZ. I don’t know where to even begin if he’s in Texas.
