Hi everyone,
Recently I changed my job and for which I transferred my H-1B to new employer and it was approved. But one of my colleague mentioned that H-1B transfer is a petition and even after successfully approved the old H-1B application will be active if not withdrawn and continued payroll. The concern or question I’ve is can there be a possibility of identity theft? Like my documents used by old employer for identity theft and someone else is working as me? Also recently I observe fraud activity on my social.
