So I have a question about an expired visa. I have a friend who came here on a student visa and it expired more than over a year. I don't know the laws in details when it comes to immigration stuff. Her dad past away a couple months ago and she hasn't been home in over a year. What are the routes to go to where she would be able to go home (Columbia) and be able to come back? Off the top of my head, I'm thinking she would need to get another visa to travel outside the states but don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
