My wife and I made the mistake of picking an attorney who usually works for large companies. This attorney submitted our immigration package but doesn't answer my questions. I was hoping this community can help...
- Per the case receipts, my applications are being processed at National Benefits Center. Did the attorney send them there or did USCIS route them there? Why are they being processed there when other service centers have a shorter turnaround time? Can I request for them to be moved?
- Why are the receipt dates for my I-485 and my I-130, I-765 different even though we sent them together?
- Can someone confirm my understanding of the overall process is correct - first, the EAD should come - I'll be called for a biometrics appointment and receive my card weeks after that. It is also valid for travel. Some months after the EAD I should get the green card interview scheduled. After that I'll get the permanent resident card, right?
- Why doesn't the USCIS case check page have National Benefits Center for forms I-130, I-485?

- Bonus question - we sent applications for EAD, Travel Document, AOS and Green Card. What is this immigration package called? IR-1 / CR-1?
