TL;DR
Are US Embassies abroad currently doing immigrant visa interviews? (Given COVID + the different immigration EOs that have been issued)
....
I am being sponsored for permanent residence through employment-based sponsorship (EB-3).
Everything has been approved thus far and as of the start of this year, NVC notified me that all my documentation was received and I would be notified of an interview appointment at the US Embassy in my home country whenever one is available. My priority date was current at that time but shortly after we saw the retrogression which pushed the final action date for my country back to 01Jan17 and I was no longer current. Since then I haven’t monitored the status of everything too closely since I knew my date wasn’t current.
As of the August 2020 visa bulletin, my priority date is once again current and so now I am trying to get caught up on the status of everything.
I’m not really sure where to look to see if consular processing interviews are still being conducted at this time. Any insight is greatly appreciated!
