How does having a child effect immigration?

For context she's from the UK and I'm from the U.S.

We've been friends for 8 years, and after starting a relationship, it was discovered that she was pregnant from a one night thing before we agreed to be exclusive.

I was wondering how this would effect our plans to bring her to the U.S? Obviously I'm not the father, and I wouldn't be immediately adopting a child into my name. The father isn't in the picture, and she doesn't really know how to go about looking up someone from a tinder hookup that unmatched her afterward.

Any advise/information would be appreciated
