I’m applying for citizenship and have a record from an incident when I was a minor. The N-400 #25 asks “Have you EVER been convicted of a crime or offense?”
I was convicted in a youth court. I am disclosing my record regardless of how I answer #25, because other questions ask about arrests and such.
I spoke with an attorney who is telling me while I am correct to disclose the record, he says I should answer “No” to #25 because matters handled in juvenile court are not convictions for immigration purposes.
Should I consult with another attorney?
