I’m about to start volunteering under post-graduation OPT to stop my unemployment count down but I’m a little nervous about whether what I’m doing is ok.
The organization I’m volunteering for doesn’t appear to be a non-profit but is registered in the US. It is an organization focused on social/community aid and is internet-based with volunteers all over the world.
Guidance from my school was just to be able to prove that I’ve been doing more than 20 hours in my field. But given that the organization is not explicitly a non-profit and there doesn’t appear to be a physical location apart from being registered in the US, I’m wondering if I’ll run into problems later on?
