Filing form I-131 for Advanced Parole during pandemic: purpose of travel? (AOS based on marriage to USC)
Hi, we're getting ready to file for Adjustment of Status based on marriage to USC and I'm unsure how to fill out form I-131. I want to be able to travel while the green card processes, but it's kind of hard to have solid plans given the circumstances. Is it ok to still apply if I don't have solid plans?
I read on an old (2015) forum that if you're filing form I-131 concurrently with I=485 and I-130 you don't need to list a reason, is that true?
And regarding PART 7: "On a separate sheet of paper, explain how you qualify...." -- Do I really need to? What did y'all write?
Thanks!
Edit: From the instructions document
Advance Parole Document for Individuals Who Are Currently in the United States If you are in the United States, you must attach:
(1) A copy of any document issued to you by USCIS showing your present status, if any, in the United States; and
(2) An explanation or other evidence showing the circumstances that warrant issuance of an Advance Parole Document; or
(3) If you are an applicant for adjustment of status, a copy of a USCIS receipt as evidence that you filed the adjustment application
So if I'm filing concurrently with the I-485/I-130, do I just need (1), since I won't have (3) yet? Or do I need (1) and (2) since I won't have (3)?
