Hello everyone I’ve applied for a change of status/I539 from B2 to J1 , my I94 expires on June 13, the start date of my J1 program is July 1st. My question is : do I need to apply for an extension as well? To bridge the gap between my I94 end date and the start date of my program, even though they’re 17 days and not 30? I’ve read that once I file the change of status I’m okay to stay here until my application is approved or denied right? Thank you!
