I am in the US on an F1 student visa. I finished my Ph.D. last August and am currently working as a post-doc(full-time) under OPT. I have have been given an offer to continue here for 2 more years so I have applied for STEM-OPT extension.
I just got an admit from another university for a post-doctoral certificate program. This is a 1-year program that I intend to do part-time(remotely) and complete in 3 semesters and my boss consents to this. This certificate will help tremendously in my career and open up several doors.
I am wondering if this might have any legal consequences? Will it be violating any F1/OPT/STEM-OPT rules?
