I have recently submitted my i-130 application online with a foreign marriage certificate. I understand that it is acceptable as long as the marriage is legal and recognized in the country that took place.
My next question is, how do I update my records in the US? I live in California and it seems like the only way to do it is to submit a court order for a delayed certificate of marriage.
Can I just get married again in Cali? Or do I have to submit the court order?
