I am on my H1-B visa. My i-797 is valid till Sept 2021 but my current i-94 expires Sept 1 of this year. It is because I entered the USA this year in March and since my old Indian passport was expiring, the Immigration officer shortened my i-94 stay till Sept 1 2020 (the same as my old passport). I was planning on crossing the border (Us-Mexico) and extending my i-94 but the border has been closed all this while and now there is this rule which denies entry into the US on H1b till Dec 31st. What are the options I have now? Please help.
