I have approved i140 from my previous employer and a priority date of August, 2016. My current employer has started the Green card process again but yet to file the Perm. My visa is valid through August, 2021.
I am planning to switch to a new job in next few weeks and new employer will be filing for the green card.
My questions is whether switching to a new job and starting the process will have any adverse effects on my status, especially under current circumstances. Also, shall I ask the new employer to start the process right away as visa is expiring in August, 2021? Is there anything that I shall be aware of?
