So I have a employee who basically has disclosed to me she used fake docs to claim political asylum.
From early on I was aware she came to the US and left her country because her husband abused her and she was fearful he might harm her for divorcing him, but she did mention she lived with her ex husbands in laws in the US....doesn't really make sense but it's a sensitive topic because of the abuse so I never asked follow up questions.
Now she mentioned that she used real docs for her visa but fake docs for claim political asylum.
As far the employee, she's a great worker and we all like her. But I'm worried why she would use fake birth certificate...like is there something in her past we should know about?
Do I just report it to the ICE's website? I do know her social so it shouldn't be hard to do find her. Is there a way to stay anonymous?
Obviously don't want her here if there is something in her past she is trying to hide by using a fake birth certificate.
If ICE finds it's fake docs do they just kick her out (I think she's an US citizen now). Or do they just look at her time in the US and see it's clean (I 99% sure there isn't anything) and just ignore the issue?
