Hi, I just graduated last year and got my OPT. The company I worked for during my OPT decided to apply for H1B. I didn't get the H1B but I transferred to another school. Now attorney is emailing me asking if I left the country, I told them that I transferred to another university to get another graduate degree. Now they are asking me to submit my I-20 for their review/records.
Do they have the right to do that? I have my I-20 with me I can send a copy no problem there but I am wondering if I have to or if I can kindly tell them that my new I-20 has nothing to do with my rejected H1B application. Can they send ICE to my apartment or something like that?
