I'm scheduled for a passport application interview at the US consulate on Sep. 30th. The email I got says they'll only accept a US passport, valid foreign passport, driver's license, or permanent National ID card as proof of identity.
I lost my foreign passport years ago and don't have a permanent National ID. However, I have my green card with me. Is it safe to present that as supplementary proof of identity, even though it's not listed in the email? Or should I just go there and hope my US passport is enough?
I'm scared of having the passport application denied due to lack of proper documentation, as I need to travel as soon. I'd appreciate useful replies on this. Thanks!
