I was just asked to prove my immigration status when boarding a flight from San Juan to Atlanta. There were immigration agents questioning everyone boarding the plane.
When I told them I’m Canadian they took my drivers license and looked me up on some database. I showed them a photo of the stamp in my passport (the actual passport is at home in houston) and when they saw I had L-1 status they were like “all good, come on through”
What’s up with that? Why are there immigration agents questioning people on a domestic flight?
