Hi all,
I am a Canadian working remotely for a US company. I get paid into my Canadian corp, I have the role of a Sales Executive and I manage about 10 sales reps in my role currently. I have a university degree and 10 years experience.
The company I work for is only US-based, and doesn't have an entity established in Canada. It's not a huge company - about 50 employees - and I have a lot of say in the operations/growth. I'm wondering if there is a way that I could get an L1-A visa to be able to legally immigrate to the USA even though I'm not employed by any sort of foreign branch/sister company here in Canada. Could I ask my company to create a corporation and get paid from that? Wondering what options I may have.
Other option I know is obviously an H1-B but that's putting things to the lottery and I'd prefer another route if possible.
I know I can engage a lawyer but thought I'd ask here first.
Thanks in advance for any help!
