At the beginning of August I seen a post about the US Green Card Lottery so naturally I was intrigued as my family is in the process of buying a house and eventually trying to immigrate to the US from Canada. Imminet was the first website to pop up and frankly I just seen a $25 fee to register and get the application. Fast forward till now, I just got a call from a representative who was super nice and seemed genuine. He asked me a couple questions which I felt comfortable with and then “reviewed” my account and determined I have a high chance of getting selected.
This is where I got uncomfortable, he mentioned how I’m going to have to fly down to have my interview with the embassy of the application is accepted and that his company would fly me to it considering it’s under $1000. I told him that nothing was free and asked what the catch was. He said I would be charged $3000 and this would be available for 10 years and they would automatically fill out the application every time it’s available.
Has anyone ever went through this company or heard bad or good things about it. I know I should’ve done my research before but as I was in a rush to just get in the “queue” I thought this had to be one of the only company’s offering this. Have I made a high mistake or is this company legit in helping me get a green card?
