F-1 visa renewal in London Embassy - No appointments?

Hi everyone,

I just booked an appointment to renew my F-1 visa in the London embassy in December. I noticed there are no other F-1 appointments until March 2022... why are there no appointments for a whole 2 months? I'm slightly concerned about flying back and being stuck for a whole 2 months if something goes wrong with my appt in December..any thoughts?
