Question about immigration having a daughter from a third country

Hello there,

We are a couple from Venezuela, a few years ago we went to Chile to visit some family and we decided to stay there. We spent like three years there, we were residents in Chile and had all of our paperwork legal. We had a daughter in Chile, and a few months later we decided to go back to Venezuela.

Our daughter is Chilean. When we arrived at Venezuela we encounter a lot of problems when we tried to register our daughter as a Venezuelan and we haven’t been able to do so.

Now after all the problems that we are facing in our country we are trying to go to another country but we do not want to go to chile.

My question is: Can we ask for asylum in a country even if we are Venezuelans and our daughter is from chile?

I believe an immigration officer from any country would say something like that we could go to a third country that is safe (Chile) as we have a strong bond to it ( our daughter’s nationality)

But i honestly don’t know, I have been searching on the web for a long time and haven’t been able to find any similar case.

I also have tried reaching legal advise from attorney’s but some are really expensive and the ones that are free either have no idea or they don’t even reply.

I hope there is someone in this big community that either knows someone or have passed for a similar process.

Ps: We already lost our resident permit and everything in chile, now to go to chile we would have to get a Visa for me and my wife, that would likely take like 8-10 months

I am really sorry if i have any typos in my post, english is not my main language.

NVC Case FE Review note

Hi everyone, my family and I are under the F3 category and we just received a notice from NVC that our documents have been approved and that we are Documentarily Qualified. My only concern is this message that we received today in addition to the acceptance: " [Name of petitioner] does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants for this case. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p . To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 for a joint sponsor may be submitted." We already have a petitioner and a household sponsor (the household sponsor's income is above the required level), but still unsure why we received this. Has anyone else received this message? All of our documents say "Approved" on NVC. Does this mean we have to find another sponsor? Can we show the consular officer our
