DOL - PERM process: taking longer?

Hi guys,

In March 2020, PWD determinations came back in around 3 months. Fast forward to now, it takes around 6 months to receive a PWD determination from DOL. What caused the longer processing times? My guess is: DOL had to make a bunch of redeterminations - basically redo a bunch of pwd requests as a result of the legal issues surrounding its Oct 8 2020 Interim Final Rule for prevailing wage determinations. But that might not be the whole picture, because on Feb 17 2021, they appear to have completed the redeterminations ordered by the Court; presumably, the speed will improve, no?

For me, I am interested in whether the speed will pick up soon, which doesn't seem to be happening yet.

Any insights are appreciated.
