Can a non citizen or resident become a unarmed security guard?

Hi, this is urgent if anyone could help me out please. I have my work authorization card. So I’m able to work in the United States, but I don’t know if I need to be a citizen or resident to actually work as a security guard. Working here could really mess up everything that’s been in the process if that’s the case.

I’m in the state of Washington
