Immigrating to US from Costa Rica after deportation.

Good evening Reddit, I was wondering if anyone had immigrated back to the US after being deported? I'm American and my husband and I were married here while he was on an immigration hold. He was here for like 30 years as an undocumented person and even though we'd been together for 10 years prior to ICE coming to the door (thanks to my lovely, jealous ex) we just hadn't gotten married. So we jumped through all the hoops that were needed for us to get married in an immigration detention center and he was deported shortly after we got married. I know I'll need an attorney but I was wondering if anyone else has navigated this as well. In August we celebrated 2 years married and September was 2 years that he's been back in his home country.
