I am working on OPT (F1) and it expires in 2021. I have a boyfriend and we have been discussing marriage. If I get married in the US before my OPT expires, will I have to return to my home country until I receive my permanent residency?
If I let my OPT expire, go home, come back to the US and get married, will I have to wait in my home country for the green card?
