Hello! I will be marrying my f1 student gf soon and had two questions that have been keeping me anxious.
1- I am a citizen and I do have Medi-cal, now I read that this wont affect her in regards to public charge since am the one benefiting and not her, but I am still worried about the fact that I make 26k per year yet I am still on Medi-Cal, I have never been called to be informed that I am no longer eligible but am worried that during the interview the officer could ask about that or wonder how am eligible even though I make that money and at the same time sponsoring someone while being on Medical( huge sidenote my brother lives with us and he makes more money than me so obviously he will also be a co sponsor).
2- Since unathorized employment is forgiven for immediate relatives, do I have to indicate her working history? She did work in college (that I will obviously indicate) but at the same time had to work outside to pay tuition (this I wont indicate). Obviously she did not use her school ssn(the employer gave a fake ssn, which many do here in CA) and since it was just a restaurant job, Is it ok if I omit that? She already stopped working there a year ago anyway. That line on the application form will already be filled with her actual school work anyway so its not like it will be blank. Anyone to chime in?
Thanks everyone!!
