I am 22 years old, a Bahamian Citizen and I have been living in the U.S. for 5 years going to school.
My birth father is a US citizen through naturalization but he did not live in the US for 5 years before I was born.
My step father (who legally adopted me before I turned 16) is a US citizen through birth.
Multiple immigration attorneys have told me that my only option is to apply for a green card and wait 5-7 years.
It is so unfair that with TWO fathers who are US citizens, I have to wait that long for a green card.
Are there any known loopholes?!
