I didn't know about this but the last 2 fiscal years I filed form 1040 instead of non resident, but some people told I should have filed non resident 1040NR. I received a stimulus check for $1200 and this might have been the reason why. Should I have filed 1040 or 1040NR, and am I eligible to keep the stimulus check?
