Travelling outside the US prior program completion date and obtaining an EAD card

I am on an F1 visa and I graduate in May 2021. I plan on travelling outside the US and returning in April 2021 and applying for my EAD sometime during Feb-Mar so that I can being with post-completion OPT employment. Can I travel outside the US prior to the completion date of the program and my EAD is still processing? Additionally, if my EAD is approved before I re-enter, would I need to have my EAD card on me to enter back into the United States?

I was able to dig up the following information online: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZJOwszAdFxLJnvn_0Dy4CvAsA3gUyFwn/view?usp=sharing

Appreciate any advice in this regard.

At the same time April 2021 showed up on my account as the expected completion date. Last week, the status was "17 days". Today the estimated time of completion has disappeared!!! Any idea what that means? More importantly - When I click on "View PDF" link under "N-400 Application for Naturalization", to see my actual N-400 form, I get " {"data":null,"error":{"developerMessage":null,"userMessage":null}} " message! The form is also missing under "Documents -> Your Uploads" tab! So, it appears that my N400 form is missing! What does that all mean, considering that it's impossible to file without N400 form! Finally, under profile, My name is incorrectly sp...
