Can I immigrate to another country other than the US and my birth country and get dual citizenship in that country with my future US citizenship?
I am a Lawful Permanent Resident of the US, a citizen of the PRC. I plan to get US citizenship either by derivation of my parents or naturalization. If I immigrate to another country and get citizenship, let's say somewhere in Europe. After I obtained my US citizenship, can I risk losing my US Citizenship by obtaining citizenship of another country? Under 8 U.S.C. 1481, it says I would risk it if I get my US citizenship through naturalization. What about derived citizenship? And yes, I would like dual citizenship.
