Received stimulus check in error via direct deposit

I'm an F1 student who's been living in the US for 8 years. Currently on OPT with a pending STEM extension in progress.

I just realized a few weeks ago I received the stimulus check of $1,200 deposited into my bank account.

I probably should not be receiving this and want to return it. Has anyone experienced this or have any advice? Will the effect my STEM extension or a future AOS to green card that I might apply for?
