What should my Dad do now?
So back in September of 2020, my dad got an a letter from the US Embassy in India, a few months following his interview, after they had completed administrative processing for a US Visa. He was pretty much ready to go out the door, but the thing that hindered him were Presidential Proclamations 10014 and 10052. The US Embassy in India denied his Visa on that basis. They said the decision was unappealable. They also went on to say that if the Proclamations are not extended, he can contact the Embassy after December 31st, 2020, to request his Visa application to be reconsidered and to additionally provide any updated medical/police records.
We have been constantly trying to reach the Embassy in regard to this, since the Proclamations have been revoked, but they have been sending out the same automated email response.
What should we do? The Embassy says they are scheduling appointments for people that had their appointments cancelled back in April and May of 2021 and Spring of 2020. We never had an appointment cancellation, we the interview early 2020.
We’re just really confused with what to do now and would appreciate any insight. My dad has already surpassed his 10 year bar too.
Thanks in advance!
