US Embassy Appointments cancelled for NIV
At a bit of a loss as to what to do now, I've been waiting on the visa process for 14 months and had my appointment set for August, just under 2 months away and I'm now hit with appointments being cancelled. Doesn't seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel in the mess of a system that is the USCIS, no reason or explanation given.
I was gearing up for the UK having the travel ban lifted with recent positive news on the pandemic cases/deaths here but this has just shell shocked me. Anyone else in the same boat? Feels like we just have to sit there and take this blow and they've taken the easy way out.
Dear Applicant,
As of Tuesday, August 1, the United States Embassy in London is cancelling currently scheduled, routine nonimmigrant visa appointments. We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. The MRV fee is valid and may be used for a visa application in the country where it was purchased. Currently, all MRV fees are valid through September 30, 2022.
