STEM OPT to TN1 Visa Procedure Help

Double posting on here and r/tnvisa.

I'm Canadian and currently working in the US on the West Coast and I have 1 more year left on my STEM-OPT visa. I'm hoping to fly up to Seattle and do the drive to the BC border to apply for the TN1 Visa. I've already received my employer support letter and will also have my diplomas and transcripts with me. Currently, I'm wondering what I will need to do and what other documents I would need to bring with me?

I've been looking online and most posts just say they simply drive up to the border from the US and tell the border guard they are applying for the TN1 and they don't need to do anything beforehand. Is this still the case? Would I need to call and schedule an appointment for anything?

Also, the documents I will bring with me are:

  • Passport, EAD, F1-Visa
  • Job Posting
  • Employer Support Letter
  • Official US Diploma and Transcripts
  • Official Canadian Diploma and Transcripts

Am I missing anything?

NVC Case FE Review note

Hi everyone, my family and I are under the F3 category and we just received a notice from NVC that our documents have been approved and that we are Documentarily Qualified. My only concern is this message that we received today in addition to the acceptance: " [Name of petitioner] does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants for this case. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p . To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 for a joint sponsor may be submitted." We already have a petitioner and a household sponsor (the household sponsor's income is above the required level), but still unsure why we received this. Has anyone else received this message? All of our documents say "Approved" on NVC. Does this mean we have to find another sponsor? Can we show the consular officer our
