J1 visa France

Hello,

I have been offered an internship this summer in the US and I was wondering if it was worth accepting it considering the travel ban on Europe..... does anyone knows if the USA embassy in France issues J1 visas at the moment ? Is there an alternative to be able to go ? (Like staying 14 days in a non European country)
