Hi friends, I’m hoping some one can point me in the right direction.. I am currently a 26 yr old female trying to find work in the finance industry in the US. I understand the Series 7 is needed to work for a US bank, is/are there any Canadian equivalents that would push banks to give me a second look? I am currently working for one of the Big 5 banks in Canada as a financial advisor. I am working towards my CFP, but depending on my current employer, I’m not sure how quickly I’ll attain it. So, how likely is it that I’ll be able to find sponsorship? Is there another similar work that you’d recommend to apply for while trying to obtain the CFP? I’m willing to work a lower paying/non industry related job until then but I just want to know what my best route for sponsorship and to live /work in the US as a Canadian would be.. Any help is much appreciated 😊
