I'm a UK national and received my J-1 visa in April from the London embassy. It was issued with an NIE, but I could not travel in the 30 day window. On the expiration date (May) I applied for a new NIE via email but haven't heard back from them in a whole month.
Has anyone else been through a similar experience? How much longer should I expect to wait for the current NIE application to be processed?
